Conformance checking in ProM – Quiz

Conformance checking in ProM

Open ProM Lite and load the event log ‘Artificial - Repair.xes.gz’ and the process model ‘Artificial - Repair.pnml’ (see note below if you don’t have this file) in ProM. Run the plug-in ‘Replay a Log on Petri Net for Conformance Analysis’ on both the process model and the event log as input.

You get a pop-up mentioning ‘No final marking is found for this model. Do you want to create one?’, click Yes. Select the place ‘End’ in the left column, and click the ‘Add Place »’-button to move it to the right column. Click Finish. Now check the mapping between the transitions in the Petri net and the event classes in the event log, this should match perfectly so click ‘Finish’.

Now click ‘Next’ and ‘finish’ to accept the default settings.

You should now see a Petri net where the transitions have blue colors (if not, select ‘Model projected with Alignments’ on the top right).

Select the transition ‘Archive Repair+complete’ (on the bottom right of the Petri net), and in the Inspector pop-up open the ‘Elements statistics’.
